A monograph on the Lombard genius - Michelangelo Merisi from Caravaggio. His life through his works: from the years of his miserable life and straitened circumstances of the first Roman period, to his raising to the high role of artist thanks to his meeting with Cardinal Del Monte, until the homicide he committed which forced him to flee from Rome and live his desperate and alone “Odyssey” in the isle of Malta, Sicily and the Tyrrhenian coasts of Southern Italy. An overall gaze to his genius and inside his painting, where muses and gods become prostitutes and cardsharpers, gypsies and drinkers.
