This book was published for Pope John Paul II’s fiftieth ministry anniversary; he was ordained Priest of the Roman Catholic Church on 1st November 1946. The volume inquires into the mystery of his vocation, following its most significant routes, the cultural and ecclesial roots of the young Karol Wojtyla, until the result of his pontificate, marked by the rich photographic archive made by the Polish photographer Grzegorz Galazka.
